This Snow snuck up on us in Mid-November and was followed quickly by the kind of cold snap usually reserved for January or February in our neck of the woods. Definitely rare for pre-Thanksgiving weather but beautiful nonetheless. And it instantly puts us in the mood for the holidays.
The weatherman says warmer temperatures are on the way along with lots of rain, so the snow won’t last. I think the holiday spirit will, though. We’ll keep wearing our jinglebells and drinking hot chocolate and counting the days…

Your snow is beautiful but I would rather look at it on your blog than out of the window. Jinglebells don’ t do it for me.

There’s nothing quite like snow on an evergreen to evoke a holiday mood! I remember a few years ago, we had a freak storm that dumped about 16 inches of snow on us a couple days before Halloween. My family and I walked down the road to a neighbor’s Halloween party singing Christmas carols! No snow here for us this week, but it is plenty cold! Woke up to 14 degrees this AM. Very fine hot chocolate weather, indeed!

That was a cold week! This week we’re back in the 60s but will soon be careening back below freezing again. This time of year keeps us guessing in our neck of the woods 😉
